Stephen Docherty, Founder

Stephen is the founder and owner of SD Business Management, and takes a personal interest in ensuring that all our clients get the help they need, when they need it. Stephen believes that customer service is the core of what we do and continues to look for ways to improve the service available for your business. A keen cyclist and fundraiser Stephen spends a lot of his spare time raising money and supporting a number of charitable causes.

Wilson Wallace, Senior Tax Manager

Wilson specialises in tax work and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. Wilson is a keen football follower and relaxes with the odd game of golf.

Liz Stewart, Office Manager

Liz ensures that SD Business Management runs like a well-oiled machine. She’s on hand to direct you to what you need, from the simplest request to the more detailed queries. Liz’s two teenage kids keep her on her toes and she is always happy to organise the team nights out.

Carol Venesky, Senior Tax Advisor

Carol is a fully qualified accountant and works with Stephen in our tax planning department with a specialism in Inheritance Tax. In addition Carol works closely with a number of charities. Carol is married with two grown up children. In her spare time Carol enjoys going to the theatre and visiting art galleries and the odd glass of red wine. .

Joanna Pioch, Senior Client Advisor

Joanna is our Sage expert and also looks after our bookkeeping and payroll team. In addition Joanna enjoys assisting her client portfolio and providing them with timely and accurate advice and is always happy to answer any questions they may have. Joanna is originally from a town in Poland that has so few vowels in its name that many of us would have trouble pronouncing it (Bydgoszcz). She has been in Glasgow for over 6 years and enjoys the 40 minute walk to and from work everyday.

Gillian Douglas, Senior Client Advisor

Gillian’s six years experience allows her to help all her clients with their day to day queries and she delights in providing them with a first class service. Anything you need to know about our free software, MORE, Gillian is the person to ask. Gillian recently got married and enjoys long walks with her husband.

Magda Luda, Senior Client Advisor

Magda prides herself in being part of the accounts team that ensures your accounts are prepared to high standards and on time. If you have any queries relating to bookkeeping and VAT she is always happy to help. When she is not working Magda spends her time looking after her two young children.

Andrew Docherty, Client Advisor

Andrew, the most recent member of our accounting team, is already well down the path of his professional exams. Andrew enjoys being part of a team that prides itself in delivering high quality service and support. A black belt in Taekwondo, Andrew keeps himself fit and focused by attending regular classes.

Tere Docherty, Administration

Currently providing Liz with excellent support, Tere is over from Australia and hopes to do a bit of traveling round Europe in the not too distant future.

Sam Johnstone, Practice Development

Sam works in the background helping to implement all the systems and processes that make the practice run smoothly. When she is not working for us she is working on completing her degree at Stirling University, no time for much else then!
